Hi, I'm Lianne. Education expert, expat mum and your school guide in Spain.
I spent over twenty years working internationally in education, as a teacher, principal and educational consultant. I've seen what makes schools truly great, and I've seen what expat parents often miss when choosing one.
Then my own family made the move to Spain.
Suddenly I was on the other side of the desk. I was the expat parent, navigating a new system in a new language, trying to find the right school for my children in a country I was still discovering. I quickly realized how little support there was for parents like me.
So I built SchoolCompassSpain, a service I wished had existed when I arrived.
Why I am different
Most relocation services give you a list of schools and leave you to figure it out.
I do the opposite.
I combine professional educational expertise with lived expat experience. I know the Spanish school system deeply. I know the questions you should be asking ánd the ones schools won't always answer honestly. And I know how stressful this transition is for both you and your children.
That's why my approach is personal, thorough and always honest.
